About the role#
Barclays Internal Audit provides independent assurance to the Board and Executive Management. As an intern, you will join the team responsible for protecting the bank's assets and reputation by evaluating risk management and control effectiveness. This 10-week summer program offers hands-on experience in a control function that operates across the entire organization.
What you'll do#
- Participate in audit planning by documenting scope and identifying risks and controls.
- Complete audit fieldwork by testing key controls and drawing conclusions.
- Write high-quality audit issues and record management action plans.
- Monitor risks, issues, and changes across relevant business units.
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2 or above.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
