    About the role#

    BDO Canada is hiring a Co-op or Intern for our Expatriate Tax team in Toronto. This is a 4-month position starting in January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in tax compliance and consulting while working alongside experienced tax professionals. This is a full-time, paid role.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete Canadian and US personal tax returns and foreign reporting forms.
    • Conduct and present tax research on expatriate tax issues.
    • Assist in the review of share-based compensation plans to determine tax implications.
    • Develop project management skills by tracking file timelines and status updates.
    • Communicate with government agencies and clients regarding tax matters.
    • Draft technical memorandums and assist with client consulting projects.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently working toward a degree or diploma in accounting.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven leadership abilities and a proactive approach to learning.
    • A commitment to providing high-quality client service.
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

    • Location: Toronto, Ontario.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (4 months).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $54,000 - $64,000.
