About the role#
Internal Audit is an independent function at BNY that assesses the effectiveness of the internal control environment. As an intern, you will work alongside audit professionals to build technical knowledge and learn how audit drives impact across the organization. This 10-week summer program provides hands-on experience through project work, mentorship, and professional training.
What you'll do#
- Support audit work by reviewing processes, risks, and controls across BNY operations.
- Analyze information, document observations, and identify themes related to control gaps or process improvements.
- Contribute to audit testing, walkthroughs, and reporting to evaluate process effectiveness.
- Partner with audit professionals and business stakeholders to gather information and ask questions.
- Translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- No visa sponsorship required for employment.
