About the role#
As an Investment Associate Intern, you will participate in the core research and investment processes that drive our firm. You will gain exposure to both fundamental and systematic investment strategies by working alongside our teams to analyze global economies and markets. This internship is designed to be a direct window into our work, focusing on real-world application rather than administrative tasks. You will be expected to form your own macroeconomic views and will have the opportunity to test your insights using our internal tools.
What you'll do#
- Research the drivers of economies and markets to build fundamental investment insights.
- Develop and codify systematic indicators into trading algorithms.
- Oversee portfolios and reconcile independent market views with system outputs.
- Drive the evolution of human and machine collaboration by creatively using technology.
- Partner with institutional investors by conducting research and building portfolio solutions.
What you'll need#
- Conceptual and analytical ability to understand abstract concepts and translate them into quantifiable measures.
- High level of intellectual curiosity and interest in understanding how the world works.
- Independent-minded thinking and a comfort with challenging established ideas.
- Flexibility to draw insights from multiple academic disciplines and backgrounds, including Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Political Science, or History.
- Perseverance and grit to solve complex, multifaceted problems.
