About the role#
This internship provides practical experience within the Internal Audit team at Bright Horizons. You will support audit activities, help maintain documentation, and assist with SOX business process control testing. This role is designed to help you apply your academic studies to real-world business scenarios.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and audit support to the Internal Audit team.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, walkthroughs, and conference calls with audit stakeholders.
- Assist with SOX business process control testing under the supervision of management.
- Collect, organize, and maintain audit workpapers to ensure documentation is complete.
- Request and track audit documentation required for testing.
- Perform basic data analytics and validation procedures.
- Prepare status reports and summarize key information for management review.
- Draft memos, meeting notes, and presentations to support audit planning and reporting.
What you'll need#
- You must have a high school diploma and be currently enrolled as a student.
- You should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Candidates must have completed at least their junior year of undergraduate study.
- You need fundamental knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and management information systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- You should demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills.
- We value the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Experience with AI-powered tools is preferred, and experience with AI agents or workflow automation is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a fully remote position.
- The role is full-time.
- This position is paid with an hourly rate between $13.00 and $35.00.
- Bright Horizons is not providing visa sponsorship for this role.
- This is a rolling term position.
