About the role#
Brinkmann Constructors is hiring an Assistant Superintendent Intern for our Kansas City location. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work directly with the Project Superintendent to manage daily construction operations. You will also collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to keep the job site running.
What you'll do#
- Support site safety efforts to keep the job site organized and safe.
- Execute and enforce safety standards, procedures, and processes.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents.
- Handle project documentation, such as daily reports, meeting notes, and progress tracking.
- Participate in the Brinkmann BUILD program, which includes training, job site visits, and mock bids.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, such as Civil Engineering.
- You can read and interpret contract documents, drawings, schedules, and scopes of work.
- You have a general understanding of construction principles and practices.
- You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
- You have strong communication and leadership skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Kansas.
- Work environment: This role is primarily outdoors. You will be exposed to varying weather conditions and noise. The job requires physical effort, including walking the site, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
