About the role#
We are seeking a Trade Compliance Intern to support the Mercury Marine team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This role offers hands-on experience with import operations and U.S. Customs and Border Protection compliance. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn how global trade functions in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Review import documents for completeness and accuracy under the guidance of senior staff.
- Assist with product classification using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
- Gather documentation and prepare checklists to support internal audits.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to collect necessary import data.
- Participate in projects related to duty recovery, tariff mitigation, and process improvement.
- Help compile reports, metrics, and dashboards for management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with data in Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A genuine interest in global trade, compliance, logistics, or international business.

- Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
