About the role#
As a Product Cybersecurity Specialist Intern, you will work on high-tech training products. This includes full flight simulators, virtual training solutions, and medical equipment. You will create and implement security solutions, including policies, standards, and technical controls. This role is a full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term, running from January 4 to April 23, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze product specifications to assess safety risks.
- Implement security measures and data recovery plans.
- Install, configure, test, and upgrade security software in a product laboratory.
- Secure networks using firewalls, password protection, and other systems.
- Inspect hardware to identify vulnerable access points.
- Collaborate with team members and share technical knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related program.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with network products such as Cisco.
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity.
