About the role#
CenterPoint Energy is hiring an Electrical Engineering student for a Spring 2027 co-op in Houston. You will join the Electric Operations team to work on projects across divisions like Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and System Protection. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams with various operational projects.
- Update and maintain Access databases.
- Track project status using Excel spreadsheets.
- Compile and share project completion data with internal stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- A valid, current drivers license.
