About the role#
Chainlink Labs is looking for Research Interns to help build secure and flexible decentralized oracle technologies. You will work alongside domain experts in applied cryptography, mechanism design, and distributed systems. The goal is to identify research challenges and build solutions that keep our oracle systems effective for the smart contract ecosystem.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with core engineering to identify research challenges and move innovations into production.
- Study, invent, and build oracle technologies with research scientists and technical advisors.
- Monitor the evolution of relevant technology ecosystems to guide research toward practical work.
What you'll need#
- A B.S. in computer science or equivalent professional experience, including coursework in algorithms, data structures, and discrete math.
- Professional software development experience.
- Ability to engage with academic literature and perform research searches.
- An advanced degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Go or Rust is a plus, as is knowledge of blockchain and smart contracts.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, full-time, paid internship.
- We ask that you overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time.
- The internship follows a rolling term.
