About the role#
Quantitative Researchers at Seven Research act as architects for our trading strategies. You will build models that turn complex data into insights. The work involves applying statistical and machine-learning methods to financial datasets, finding new ways to measure risk and returns, and designing strategy frameworks based on economic principles.
What you'll do#
- Develop models that transform data sets into actionable insights.
- Apply statistical and machine-learning methodologies to financial data.
- Create new approaches to understand risk and returns.
- Design strategy frameworks using first principles from economics.
- Conduct research and analysis.
What you'll need#
- A degree (PhD, master’s, or bachelor’s) in computer science, statistics, physics, or a related quantitative field.
- A track record of developing predictive models.
- Strong programming skills, specifically mastery of Python for data analysis.
- Knowledge of statistical and machine learning modeling frameworks.
- Experience working with large data sets and computationally intensive projects.
- Strong critical analysis and communication skills.

- Compensation: The base salary is prorated based on a full-time range of $200,000 to $300,000.
