About the role#
Chamberlain Advisors offers a full-time Military SkillBridge Internship for active-duty military personnel transitioning into the finance industry. This program provides training and places participants in credit analyst roles at commercial banks. You will use your leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills gained during your service to evaluate business financial health and lending risks.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate business financial health by analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and related data.
- Assess lending risks by reviewing industry trends, market conditions, and borrower credit history.
- Use scoring models to quantify creditworthiness and assign credit scores.
- Compile findings into detailed reports covering financial ratios, risk analysis, and recommendations for loan terms or credit limits.
- Communicate with borrowers to gather information and clarify details.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of each application.
What you'll need#
- 3-5 years of active duty military leadership experience, with a preference for combat arms.
- Honorable service and exemplary service evaluations.
- A passion to start a career in finance and commercial banking.
- Willingness to virtually attend a no-cost financial modeling certification program and test prior to your transition.
- Ability to apply leadership and analytical skills gained through military service.
