About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Forensic Services team in Toronto to support cyber due diligence, incident response, and security investigations. This role requires on-site attendance at our Toronto office.
What you'll do#
- Assist with security and privacy investigations regarding data breaches and fraud.
- Conduct forensic analysis of digital information using standard industry tools.
- Perform defensible collection of digital evidence and maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation.
- Use programming languages such as Python, T-SQL, and VBA to solve technical problems.
- Communicate investigative findings to team members and clients.
- Draft reports summarizing procedures and results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date in December 2026 or Summer 2027.
- Academic focus in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Business Administration.
- Strong understanding of computer operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Experience conducting digital forensic analyses using commercial or open-source tools.
- Knowledge of proper evidence handling and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
