About the role#
Citrin Cooperman is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 season. This program runs from early January through April or May. You will gain professional experience by applying classroom theory to real world tax projects during our busy season.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and tax extensions.
- Organize tax information for client files.
- Assist with tax notices and examinations.
- Learn and maintain a working knowledge of office tax preparation software.
- Handle various administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or one year prior to graduation in an Accounting or Finance program.
- Completion of at least one tax class.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Participation in the VITA Program is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position in New York, NY.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- You must be able to work at least 25 hours per week, including weekends when necessary.
