About the role#
L3Harris is hiring a Finance Intern to support our finance team in Lynchburg. You will manage financial functions related to business acquisitions and program execution. This role involves working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and contract compliance.
What you'll do#
- Manage financial tasks for business acquisition processes and program execution.
- Set up, validate, and generate complex customer invoices.
- Ensure all invoices are processed on time according to contract terms.
- Provide billing guidance to the Contracts and Program Finance teams.
- Perform invoice and account receivable reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Help with the cash application process through research and reconciliation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, financial modeling, corporate forecasting, or business acquisitions.
- Familiarity with contract compliance and negotiation.
- Experience with customer or management reporting.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Lynchburg, Virginia.
- The role is full-time and paid.
- We operate on a 9/80 schedule, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
- We do not offer sponsorship for this position.
