About the role#
As an intern in production planning, you will help manage the manufacturing cycle from start to finish. You will work with engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials arrive on time. Your work involves monitoring the status of products to meet customer requirements and advising management on work in progress.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet delivery schedules.
- Use the Materials Requirement Planning system to track material availability and release shop orders.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to address issues.
- Resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and schedule interruptions.
- Provide hardware status updates and performance statistics to the program team.
- Manage floor stock of program components and maintain inventory integrity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program.
- Relevant fields of study include Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
