About the role#
This internship focuses on the financial functions of business acquisition and program execution. You will work on-site in Rochester, New York, as part of a full-time, paid position. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over nine days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Set up, validate, and generate complex customer invoices.
- Ensure invoices are completed on time according to contract terms.
- Manage daily customer interactions and provide billing guidance to the Contracts and Program Finance teams.
- Perform reconciliations for invoices and accounts receivable to maintain billing accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with the cash application process through research and reconciliation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in finance, accounting, economics, or business management.
- Proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, corporate forecasting, and cost or schedule development.
- Experience with customer or management reporting.
- Familiarity with contract compliance and negotiation.
