About the role#
As an Operations Management Intern at Mercury Marine, you will join our distribution team in Brownsburg, Indiana. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing environment. You will work alongside supervisors and managers to lead production associates, allocate resources, and solve problems on the distribution floor. This is a paid, full-time internship scheduled for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Supervise a small team of warehouse associates.
- Manage key departmental metrics including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Use lean manufacturing techniques to improve processes.
- Set work procedures and assign duties to meet production schedules.
- Monitor employee performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Enforce plant safety rules.
- Lead regular communication meetings with your team to improve engagement.
- Provide status updates to upper management regarding your projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- At least second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts with diplomacy.
- Permanent US work authorization is required. We do not provide visa sponsorship.

- Location: Brownsburg, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027.
