About the role#
HexArmor is looking for a Supply Chain Planning Intern for the summer of 2027. You will join our planning team to help manage purchasing, logistics, and inventory replenishment. This role involves working across multiple systems and collaborating with our category managers, sales teams, and production staff to ensure our product lines stay on track.
What you'll do#
- Use Excel to build and maintain reports, including XLOOKUP, Index Matching, Pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Update purchase order ship dates and create production orders within SAP Business One.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delays, and recovery plans.
- Monitor inventory health, including safety stock levels and excess or aged items.
- Participate in daily and weekly backorder reviews.
- Partner with sales and distribution teams to analyze product trends and sales opportunities.
- Review inbound shipping methods to avoid backorders.
- Analyze material status and provide feedback to internal departments to help meet customer demand.
- Assist with department process improvements and miscellaneous ordering tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or Logistics, with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Proven experience generating and editing interconnected spreadsheets in Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
- A positive attitude and motivation to learn.
- Experience with international business, SAP or other MRP/ERP systems, and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 14-week internship starting May 17, 2027.
- The role is based on-site at our corporate headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- This position is paid.
