About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in West Chester, Ohio. You will work on projects across categories such as Mobile Equipment, Lubricants, and Chemicals. This role offers hands-on experience in the steel industry and the chance to build professional connections.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily procurement tasks and manage supplier relationships.
- Conduct market research and track industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Track purchase orders and support contract negotiations.
- Collect and analyze supplier performance metrics and pricing data to ensure consistency across plants.
- Verify the accuracy of index-related price changes and manage blanket purchase order pricing.
- Research potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and evaluate product quality.
- Manage the end-to-end process for Requests for Proposal (RFP).
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to research invoicing and payment issues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Supply Chain Management with a focus on Procurement.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year by summer 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
