About the role#
As a Manufacturing Planning Intern, you will work within our planning and scheduling teams to support production operations. You will gain exposure to the steel manufacturing process while working alongside operations, sales, and accounting departments to ensure customer orders are met.
What you'll do#
- Build production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Manage WIP inventories.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Accounting to schedule operating units and expedite orders.
- Use Microsoft Excel and SQL Server Management Studio to retrieve, filter, and validate operational data.
- Prepare and issue daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and suggest actions to address issues.
- Support the monthly and annual production forecast planning process.
- Automate manual Excel tasks and use task scheduler applications to maintain reports.
- Assist with company-wide delivery improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Completion of your sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
