About the role#
The City of Kitchener is hiring a Student Speed Advisory Assistant for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position open to students in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or Urban Planning.
What you'll do#
- Analyze traffic data and review reports.
- Support the development of speed advisory recommendations.
- Share findings with your team and relevant stakeholders.
- Join project planning meetings and provide input.
- Prepare reports and presentations to share project information.
What you'll need#
- Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative approach to working in a team environment.
- Familiarity with traffic analysis tools is considered an asset.
