About the role#
The City of McAllen is hiring a part-time intern for the Parks Administration department. This role supports the execution of live events, including concerts, plays, and trade shows. You will work on-site to ensure events run smoothly and assist the public.
What you'll do#
- Prepare venues for events, including setting up and breaking down equipment.
- Manage event logistics, such as taking tickets, ushering attendees to their seats, and helping with parking.
- Operate concession stands.
- Perform custodial duties to maintain event spaces.
- Answer customer questions and provide information in a tactful, diplomatic manner.
