About the role#
This 10-week internship at Hoya Vision Care supports our analytics and reporting efforts. You will work with data, dashboards, and business reports to help inform decision-making across the company. This role is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
- Document data definitions, processes, and findings.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis.
- Create probability scores based on multivariate analysis.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and statistical analysis for machine learning.
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience with SQL, DAX, or Power Query (M) at an introductory level.
- Ability to navigate data science environments like Python or PySpark.
- Understanding of relational models and ETL methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with large datasets and pivot between various data sources.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- You are a hands-on team contributor with strong organizational skills.
