About the role#
This internship position involves directing project teams in the execution of project controls processes and systems. You will perform complex project control activities under limited supervision, ensuring that administration, change management, cost management, earned value management, and schedule management are executed in accordance with company standards and contractual requirements.
What you'll do#
- Lead the creation of Work Breakdown Structures and develop schedules and budget data.
- Develop scope, schedule, budget, earned value, and estimate to complete data for assigned tasks.
- Analyze cost and schedule data to minimize project losses and identify problem areas.
- Compile schedule and cost data for the project control database.
- Maintain checks and balances to determine the financial health of a project.
- Develop and maintain periodic status reports and subsidiary reports, including personnel and equipment schedules.
- Perform detailed variance analysis and advise management of risks affecting project profit, costs, and schedules.
- Support trend and change management processes and follow the Company Project Delivery Model.
- Apply quality assurance guidelines and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Provide administrative support to project managers, attend meetings, and assist with deliverable scheduling.
- Update Deltek Vantagepoint to maintain project financials and assist with sub-consultant agreements and documentation.
