About the role#
The Communications Fellow supports the Regional President for the Asia Pacific region and national staff in shaping how the organization communicates its work. This role involves sourcing and developing content from field offices to share the impact of justice initiatives with a global audience. The fellowship lasts 12 months with start dates available in Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027.
What you'll do#
- Partner with the Regional President to develop executive communications, speeches, and accompanying graphics.
- Research, verify facts, and provide context to position the work within regional and global conversations.
- Conduct field research and write issue-focused stories that highlight organizational impact.
- Research, compile, and analyze information to support communications initiatives.
- Develop written materials based on studies, surveys, and interviews.
- Serve as an internal reporter to identify and capture stories that showcase the work.
- Maintain promotional materials, inventory records, and tracking systems.
- Support the planning, execution, and promotion of key events.
- Provide additional departmental and communications support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Three or more years of relevant professional experience or a graduate degree.
- Prior work experience in Communications, Media, or Public Relations.
- Demonstrated experience in writing and public speaking.
- Expert knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with deep research and analysis in professional or academic settings.
- A mature orthodox Christian faith.
- Qualities including humility, resilience, a strong service ethic, and the ability to solve problems.
- A professional demeanor with the ability to build trust and partnerships.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid fellowship position.
- Work may be performed in a remote or hybrid capacity based in the District of Columbia.
- Candidates must be able to provide a statement of faith describing their Christian walk and current place of worship.
