About the role#
Cleveland Research Company offers a 12-week summer internship for students interested in equity and market research. You will join one of our research teams covering specific industries and publicly traded companies. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive view of the Analyst position and our broader business operations. We evaluate interns during this time for potential future full-time career opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Become an expert on your assigned sector and covered companies.
- Build and update financial models for each company.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry sources.
- Interact and share conviction with our internal sales force.
- Assist in the production of written reports for our institutional money manager clients.
- Gather and analyze proprietary market research, macroeconomic data, and industry data.
- Attend industry events to gain an in-depth understanding of your sector.
- Participate in an independent research project, weekly financial discussions with the President, and a mock portfolio competition.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate program. While we consider all majors, Finance and Business Administration are common.
- This role is open only to Juniors graduating in 2028 or Seniors graduating in 2027.
- Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in the equity and market research industry.
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Ability to master complex tasks and multi-task with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in our downtown Cleveland, Ohio office.
- The program runs for 12 weeks from May 2027 to August 2027.
- This position is paid and includes a furnished downtown apartment, along with provided food and events.
