About the role#
The Technology Internship Program in Cybersecurity offers hands-on experience across various security domains. You will work alongside experienced staff to identify emerging threats and help secure the business environment. This role involves building security plans, developing controls, and deploying protections while gaining insight into how technology supports the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Research and assess risks from emergent cybersecurity threats.
- Partner with cybersecurity leaders to conduct information security reviews.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of information security incidents.
- Perform reputational checks on files, source networks, and domains.
- Apply risk assessment practices to evaluate the impact of IT projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) or first-year Master’s student.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physical/Life Sciences, Accounting, or a related field.
- Knowledge of information security, application security, and systems or network architecture.
- Ability to research and analyze technical concepts.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Chicago, Illinois.
- The role follows a hybrid work model, alternating between the office and home.
- The program term is rolling.
