About the role#
CNO Financial Group is hiring an HR Benefits, Wellness and People Focus Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with our Human Resources team on daily tasks and projects. This internship provides exposure to benefits administration, well-being initiatives, and internal communications. You will have opportunities to network with senior leaders and participate in company events.
What you'll do#
- Gather data and write essay responses for local and national well-being applications.
- Review and update associate benefits guides and recruiting materials for the annual open enrollment process.
- Create communications, flat sheets, and videos about benefits, well-being, and people-focused topics.
- Participate in vendor demos and market analysis projects.
- Find creative ways to simplify company processes and documents.
- Assist in planning and implementing company-wide social events.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, industrial psychology, communications, or a related field.
- Status as a rising junior or rising senior.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks during the summer.
- Location in the Central or Eastern US time zone or the willingness to work those business hours.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role follows a hybrid work model based in Carmel, Indiana, or Chicago, Illinois.
