About the role#
We are looking for a licensed NASCLA/ICC Certified Contractor to join our team as a part-time Instructor and Student Support Representative. You will lead online exam preparation classes for the NASCLA/ICC Certified Contractor license. This role focuses on helping students master both the Business and Law examination and the Trade examination components. You will provide guidance on topics like project management, construction codes, safety requirements, and construction law.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and teach webinar pre-licensing content.
- Lead exam prep classes to help students pass their NASCLA Certified Licensing exams.
- Instruct course material following the established course plan.
- Design and implement teaching strategies to help students meet course objectives.
- Evaluate student achievement and progress.
- Engage with students over Zoom, host virtual office hours, and conduct student orientations.
- Mentor students and track performance issues.
- Address student questions through our ticketing system.
- Participate in faculty meetings and assist with updating course content, scripting instructional videos, or developing practice questions.
What you'll need#
- A current license as an NASCLA/ICC Certified Contractor.
- Prior experience teaching pre-license courses in construction-related trades or professional education is preferred.
- Background in Civil Engineering or Business Administration is relevant to this position.
