About the role#
The Commonwealth of Kentucky offers a Co-Op/Intern program within the Department of Parks. This interim position provides students the chance to gain practical workplace experience in state government. You will work alongside specialists and experts in your field of study while building professional connections with state employees and mentors.
What you'll do#
- Participate directly in operations with Kentucky State Parks.
- Collaborate with experts and specialists to develop workplace skills.
- Build professional networks with state government employees and fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment on a full-time basis as a high school junior or senior, or enrollment at an accredited post-secondary school.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Ability to provide an unofficial transcript and proof of enrollment to the Personnel Cabinet.
- Adherence to all Kentucky State Park rules, regulations, policies, and safety standards.

- Employment Type: Full-time, paid.
- This role is eligible for overtime pay and accrues sick leave based on hours worked.
