About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 based in Burlington, Vermont. You will work on-site with our team to develop enterprise platforms, manage deployment pipelines, and maintain infrastructure across public and private clouds. You will be supported by a mentor and a team throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Build and manage enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, and security monitoring.
- Develop automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and support processes.
- Create documentation for new development, procedures, and test plans.
- Build pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery of software.
- Automate code packaging and deployment processes.
- Track system and service performance across all environments and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.
- Use AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
- Collaborate with delivery and operations teams to identify and address engineering challenges.
- Help develop and follow engineering standards and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Completed coursework in software development, systems, networking, and security.
- Experience writing code and scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems, containers, and databases.
- Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration, and configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with public cloud architecture, preferably AWS, and Agile concepts like Scrum and Kanban.
- Proficiency with AI tools for software development and deployment tasks.
- A collaborative attitude with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly.
- A desire to identify and resolve manual tasks through automation.
- Interest in building secure, resilient applications and measuring performance data.
