About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will play a part in delivering care to patients while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting. This is a part-time position focused on supporting patient safety, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy workflow.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients.
- Support core pharmacy functions including inventory management, quality assurance, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help customers stay healthy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and your team.
- Facilitate a positive team culture that promotes energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to reach better patient outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain mobile for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
- Visual acuity for tasks like reading and transcribing.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
