About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a part in delivering care to patients, managing pharmacy workflows, and adopting patient care programs. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience while contributing to our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow pharmacy professional practice standards.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflows.
- Provide customer service and assist with regulatory requirements.
- Support patient care programs to help customers manage their health.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to maintain a positive culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual precision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
