About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for a future Pharmacist position. You will support pharmacy teams in delivering patient care, ensuring operations run smoothly, and contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.
What you'll do#
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Perform workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering to counsel under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication changes.
- Deliver health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Educate patients about vaccines and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and returns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication, mathematical reasoning, and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, and maintain attention to detail for label accuracy.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, move fingers repetitively, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and at various store locations within the market.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
