About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This program provides hands-on experience in pharmacy operations and allows you to work directly with pharmacy teams, store leadership, and district management.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and participate in key learning experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment to ensure operations run safely and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Provide patient counseling and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Offer immunizations and other health services to patients.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions while maintaining compliance with all SOPs and public health requirements.
- Perform basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.

- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The role operates on a rolling term basis.
