About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering care to patients while managing daily pharmacy operations. You will engage in patient care programs and contribute to a team culture that prioritizes compassion and service.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy professional practice.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to improve health outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Complete all required training within the designated timeframes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain mobile, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
