About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience in pharmacy operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting the daily needs of our pharmacy team and patients.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and accurate pharmacy operations.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs).
- Perform basic inventory tasks, including putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts.
- Educate patients about vaccines and assist with immunizations where permissible by law.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
