About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice. This role is designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist position by immersing you in pharmacy operations, patient safety, and clinical standards. You will work under the guidance of preceptors and pharmacy leaders to develop the skills necessary for increasing responsibility.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to deepen your knowledge of pharmacy operations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, counseling patients, and fielding medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain patient safety and privacy.
- Maintain pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, and drive-thru.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by state guidelines.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the designated timeframe.
- Commitment to regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete all required training within the specified timeframe.
