About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role prepares you for a future Pharmacist position by deepening your knowledge of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Provide caring service and show empathy to contribute to positive patient experiences.
- Follow company procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
- Deliver health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by training.
- Complete basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and returns-to-stocks, as directed by pharmacy leadership.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the program.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within state guidelines.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
