About the role#
This clinical rotation prepares Physician Associate students for work in ambulatory care settings. You will gain exposure to clinic operations, insurance procedures, and evidence-based guidelines while working alongside preceptors. This program provides a look at how corporate offices support clinical practice and how these clinics function within the broader health care system.
What you'll do#
- Participate in patient care for individuals 18 months and older, including acute and chronic care, women's health exams, and physicals.
- Observe and understand clinical operations, procedures, and electronic medical record usage.
- Work in a clinical environment where schedules may vary week to week.
- Engage in practical education regarding the relationship between corporate support and clinical practice.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Physician Associate program that has an executed Affiliation Agreement with MinuteClinic.
- Verification from your program faculty that you are eligible for a clinical rotation.
- Ability to meet academic standards throughout the duration of your rotation.
- Compliance with local and federal laws regarding eligibility.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 or an approved accommodation.

- Locations: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, Nevada, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
