About the role#
The Equity Capital Markets Research Internship is a 10-week program based in New York. You will work with research associates and analysts to provide analysis on publicly traded companies and industry trends. Interns join small teams and contribute directly to published research using financial modeling and proprietary research techniques.
What you'll do#
- Research market and industry trends along with company specifics to build expertise in an assigned sector.
- Create, maintain, and update data in financial models.
- Build tables and graphs to illustrate information clearly.
- Prepare reports and statistical data for firm clients and the investing public.
- Discuss research findings with Sales and Trading associates and institutional clients, including analysts and portfolio managers.
- Formulate opinions and recommendations on securities.
What you'll need#
- Current junior in college.
- Major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both in a team and on a self-directed basis.
