About the role#
The Consumer Group Summer Analyst program is a 10-week internship based in Irvine, California. This role offers an introduction to the investment banking business through strategic assignments. You will assist deal teams with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and other advisory services. This program serves as a pipeline for permanent Analyst positions.
What you'll do#
- Research and prepare materials for pitch books, memorandums, and presentations.
- Build financial models to analyze client-specific projects.
- Collaborate with team members ranging from peer analysts to managing directors.
- Support client relations and business development activities for senior bankers.
- Maintain and update contact and deal databases.
- Assist deal teams with daily operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college junior.
- Major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
- Flexibility to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
