About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Danfoss, you will join our power electronics department to work on active product development. You will engage in real projects that contribute to our ongoing activities and see your ideas applied in a professional setting. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Loves Park, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to an active product development project by completing assigned work packages.
- Collaborate with team members to conduct testing and analysis.
- Document your design process, calculations, and test results in detailed reports.
- Present your project accomplishments to the department at the end of your term.
- Participate in department meetings and provide general support to other ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Coursework or a specific focus on Power Engineering or Power Electronics.
- Proficiency in computer tools for simulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage your time and work independently for up to 40 hours per week.
- Awareness of laboratory safety protocols.
