About the role#
As a Maintenance Co-op focused on bobbin repair, you will gain hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians to maintain critical production equipment. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding components to ensure factory efficiency and product quality.
What you'll do#
- Inspect production bobbins to identify wear and tear.
- Diagnose the root cause of equipment issues.
- Repair and rebuild bobbin assemblies by replacing components like bearings and shafts.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain detailed records of equipment health.
- Use precision tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify repairs.
- Collaborate with the Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a certificate or Associate's degree program in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire to troubleshoot hands-on problems.
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or diagrams.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
