About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship for Summer 2027 based in Loves Park, Illinois. You will join the product development team to work on projects related to energy efficiency and power conversion solutions. This position is on-site.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to design team activities and real-world engineering challenges.
- Support the build and test processes to help bring designs to life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ongoing product development.
- Complete development tasks within the product design group and provide information for reports.
- Assist with part procurement by coordinating with external vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with junior status or higher.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
- Experience with solid modeling from concept to final part completion is a plus.

- Compensation: $22 to $26 per hour, depending on completed school year.
