About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will work on laboratory systems that support product testing and data collection. You will gain experience with electrical controls, instrumentation, and maintenance processes while working with engineers and technicians. This is a paid, on-site internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, maintenance, and documentation of laboratory electrical control systems, including updating technical records.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and data acquisition systems used for test data.
- Manage equipment records, calibration schedules, and preventive maintenance plans within the CMMS.
- Assist with equipment inspections, repairs, and general troubleshooting alongside the engineering team.
- Maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment by following established safety and quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical control systems, industrial test equipment, and engineering measurements.
- Understanding of analog sensor signals like 4-20 mA and 1-5 V.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and learn new technologies.
- Availability to work on-site for up to 40 hours per week.
