About the role#
DBR is hiring Mechanical Design Interns to join our team on a rolling basis. You will work closely with mentors to support mechanical engineering projects, learn industry standards, and gain hands-on experience in building systems design.
What you'll do#
- Research building codes and standards for specific projects.
- Help mentors perform HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace 3D Plus or Carrier HAP.
- Assist in sizing ductwork and piping systems.
- Prepare mechanical construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Select and schedule mechanical equipment.
- Review design documents with engineers before they are finalized.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members.
- Attend at least one project site visit.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software.
- A willingness to ask questions and learn new processes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a project team.
- A positive attitude.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
