About the role#
Discovery Mining Ltd is hiring a Mine Engineering Co-op for a 12-month placement at the Kidd Operations site in Timmins, Ontario. This role begins in January 2027. You will work in an office setting with some field exposure, supporting the development of mining plans for a deep base-metal mine.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced Mining Engineers, Technologists, and Technicians.
- Prepare engineering designs and drawings using standard computer software.
- Create designs for drilling, blasting, and backfill processes.
- Gain experience in ventilation, ground control, scheduling, surveying, and mine design.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mining Engineering program at a recognized Canadian university.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Amine is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
