About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Toronto. You will join our team to work on machine learning platforms and models that support our transportation services. This position is a hybrid role, requiring at least 3 days of in-office work per week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, train, and test machine learning models.
- Write production-level code to turn models into functional pipelines.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define machine learning problems.
- Analyze data from experiments and observations to share findings.
- Review code and technical specifications to maintain quality and share knowledge across the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science or a related technical field at a Canadian university.
- A graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Less than 2 years of full-time work experience if you are a Master's student who worked between degrees.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a similar object-oriented language.
- Proficiency with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or MXNet.
- Experience turning research papers into working code and building end-to-end machine learning workflows.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (at least 3 days per week in-office).
- Compensation: CAD $46 - CAD $53 per hour.
